The new DHL in SriLanka
DHL’s operations in Sri Lanka began in 1980 with an agency agreement with John Keells Holdings, and the business relationship was further strengthened with the signing of a joint venture agreement in January 1992, forming the business entity DHL Keells Pvt Ltd.
In Sri Lanka, DHL’s network consists of over forty vehicles, six service centres, as well as over 170 trained professionals, and DHL is the sole air express company to operate a bonded warehouse with onsite customs. DHL continues to offer its customers value-added services such as 24/7 customer service including pickups and deliveries, e-solutions to streamline their shipping process, and pre-clearance via electronic Customs declarations.
